The sisters, Este, Danielle and Alana, grew up playing classic rock songs at charity events and street fairs with their parents in a family band, called "Rockinhaim". This California-based band is made up of three sisters, as well as a male drummer, who all boast an extensive musical history. Listen to the track below and see if you agree. Of course, Beyonce's vocals are on point and she brings a sultry vibe that fits the track beautifully.I just wish there was less Andre 3000 and more Beyonce. When I first heard it I thought that Andre 3000 completely butchered one of my favorite songs of all time, but as I keep playing the song, I am slowly appreciating his style and what he's trying to bring to the table. One song I am still undecided about is Beyonce and Andre 3000's cover of Amy Winehouse's "Back To Black". I can deal with Florence + The Machine's track, "Over The Love", and I can also appreciate Lana Del Rey's "Young and Beautiful", but it's your standard Lana track, so don't expect anything spectacular. Contributions from Fergie, will.i.am, and Gotye just don't do it for me. To me, this album is attempting to be an era piece, but the tracks only make me want to listen to authentic music from the late 20's, early 30's, that the soundtrack is clearly pulling inspiration from. Needless to say, I keep finding myself wanting to love each track but it's just not clicking for me. So I don't know about you, but I was eagerly anticipating this soundtrack for two reasons: the lineup and the fact that Jay-Z produced the entire album.
